I just sent off my Maurice Sendak tribute illustration for the upcoming aution to benefit free expression in children's books. The event will be held at the Jakob Javvitts Center in New York on May 28th, 2013. Click the link below for more info. The piece is done in scratchboard, my new favorite medium.

Random House
DARCY, the 10th book in the HORSE DIARIES series was written by my daughter, Whitney. It is set in Ireland in 1917 and has historical references to the political troubles of the time, in addition to the daily life of a Connemara pony. The series offically ends with this book, but I just got wind there might be a "Special Edition" which I would be asked to illustrate. Stay tuned!

Pirate Painting at the Rockwell
This painting was from a two-day painting workshop I taught on August 10th and 11th at the Norman Rockwell Museum. There is a fantastic exhibition there of Howard Pyle's work.
